Workshop cum special session on “Water-Food and Managed Aquifer Recharge Nexus” for Roorkee Water Conclave

Roorkee, India, February 23rd to 25th, 2026

IIT Roorkee and HTW Dresden will be organising a workshop cum special session on the MAR-Water Food (WF) nexus in the South Asian context during the “Roorkee Water Conclave” (RWC) in Roorkee between 22 and 25 February 2026. The aim of the special session is to provide a platform for scientific exchange on MAR in context of the WF nexus to international and Indian researchers. The session will provide presentations and posters whose content is aimed to:
• present new international and Indian concepts for WF nexus and MAR,
• demonstrate the purification capacity of RBF at worldwide sites in context of the water food nexus,
• present the application and development of such concepts,
• include research, case-studies and/or experiences on WF nexus, MAR and RBF from persons/parties who are not associated with the above project,
• and offer a platform for an open discussion on the future direction of worldwide R&D on MAR and the WF nexus in India.
